The Department of Computer Science at Queens College in the City University of New York invites applications for a full-time Lecturer position, with appointment to begin in Fall 2022. Applicants are expected to have successfully taught a variety of undergraduate computer science courses (including upper-division courses) in recent years, and preference may be given to candidates who have taught courses that are similar to courses offered by our department. Also required is a willingness to cooperate with others for the good of the institution.

The primary responsibility of the position will be to teach computer science courses for our department. In addition, the Lecturer will serve as the departmental advisor for transfer students, and will share responsibility for committee and departmental assignments that may have administrative, supervisory, and other functions.

The Computer Science Department serves over 2,600 undergraduate majors and about 70 master's degree students, and participates actively in the Computer Science Ph.D. program based at the CUNY Graduate Center.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a closely related discipline, and at least one year of experience teaching college level computer science courses.
