LaGuardia Community College seeks to fill a Lecturer position in Health & Human Services which will begin in Fall 2018. General responsibilities for this position include teaching courses in the Human Services major programs which may include: Social Welfare & Policy, Social Gerontology, Community Organization & Development, as well as, First Year Seminar in Health Sciences and the fieldwork course. This position will also share related faculty functions which may include coordinating fieldwork placements, as well as, student advising and guidance to prepare graduates for the various career paths available in human services, social work, counseling, human relations, gerontology, psychology, public health and community health education.


Bachelor's degree in area(s) of expertise, and the ability to teach successfully are required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS MSW with LMSW in New York State Qualified individuals must demonstrate competency through applied practice in community settings and prior community college teaching experience. Previous experience supervising student interns as a site supervisor in agency or organizational settings preferred.
