The Manager of Operations provides leadership and direction for ongoing projects and strategic initiatives in the office of the Vice President for Student Development. He/she will ensure that projects are moving effectively and according to plan, assisting with any barriers inhibiting their completion. The successful candidate will:

  • Provide oversight of student organizational expenditures, providing significant support with purchasing and other Business Office functions, the Manager of Operations will also be responsible for coordinating complex administrative projects, engaging senior administrative and executive staff.

  • Provide support for event planning and execution ensuring that required health and safety protocols are implemented.

  • Support completion of Divisional assessment projects and evaluation of divisional operational procedures advising the Vice President of opportunities to improve.

  • Ensures the Division of Student Affairs websites, directory, SharePoint site, Organizational Chart are all kept up to date and coordinates/conducts trainings for staff SharePoint, HEO, RF, College Assistant hiring process.

  • Serves as a liaison to the College Community, outside colleges, and organizations who seek to speak with the VP or have general questions.· Assists with planning for office meetings, town hall meetings, retreats, summits, convocations, professional development workshops, take minutes, distribute to attendees and upload to SharePoint.


Bachelor's degree and six years' related experience required; Master's degree preferred.


Supports a Campus or University Executive as a confidential assistant in a variety of activities and initiatives as a key team member.

  • Organizes and manages projects involving different areas of the Campus or University community, with responsibility for project outcomes

  • Represents the Executive's unit in Campus or University-wide activities, including committees, special initiatives, and implementation of new processes or technology

  • Independently carries out a portfolio of responsibilities under the Executive's purview, such as approvals, student interactions, and monitoring of key activities

  • Manages communications within and outside the unit related to areas of responsibility

  • May serve as Manager of a large Executive Office

  • Performs related duties as assigned.

This position is excluded from union representation.
